How we describe TEREA flavours
Every taste description below is based on the official product texts Philip Morris International publishes on IQOS websites. We do not add tasting notes of our own. Where IQOS markets describe a flavour differently, we note the main differences. Descriptions follow IQOS UK and other IQOS sites outside the EU; IQOS sites in the EU describe some of the same flavours with fewer aroma notes. Puff EU is an independent shop and is not affiliated with Philip Morris International.
- Intensity is the official IQOS 1–10 scale. IQOS rates most tobacco and menthol flavours; we found no rating for Kelly, Wave or Pearl sticks, so we show “not rated” rather than guess.
- Cooling uses IQOS’s own words, such as “crisp”, “balanced” or “deep” menthol cooling. There is no official numeric cooling scale.
- All TEREA sticks contain tobacco and nicotine. Nicotine is addictive, and TEREA is not risk-free.

TEREA has a metal heating element at the core of the stick and a fully sealed tobacco part, so it must not be used in blade-heated IQOS (ORIGINALS DUO and earlier), where it may damage the blade. Classic tobacco TEREA flavours
These eight flavours are tobacco blends with no menthol and no capsule. They differ in strength and in the aroma notes layered over the tobacco, from malty and cocoa to woody, nutty, zesty or herbal.
Want the most intense tobacco taste? Start with Russet (9/10) or Bronze (8/10). For a lighter everyday stick, try Amber, Yellow or Silver.

A rich, toasted tobacco blend with malty aromas and a bold taste. IQOS rates it 9 out of 10, the highest rating of any TEREA we carry.
Good pick if you want the strongest classic tobacco taste in the range.
TEREA Bronze

A rich, warm tobacco blend with cocoa and dry-fruit aroma notes. Bronze is one of the strongest TEREA flavours, just below Russet.

Menthol TEREA flavours
Menthol TEREA combine a tobacco blend with menthol cooling built into the stick, with no capsule to click. They differ mainly in how cold they feel and in their aroma notes: peppermint, spearmint, zesty or lime.
From the most intense menthol to the lightest: Blue (7/10, deep cooling), Green (5/10, balanced), Turquoise (4/10, crisp). Kelly pairs intense menthol with lime.

TEREA Kelly
Intense menthol with lime

IQOS Poland described Kelly as a tobacco blend with intense menthol and lime notes. It has since left the Polish IQOS range, so official details are limited and there is no intensity rating.
Good pick if you like strong menthol with a lime twist.
Wave TEREA: menthol with fruit
Wave flavours add fruit or herbal aroma notes to menthol cooling. As with plain menthol TEREA, the flavour is built into the stick, with no capsule. IQOS publishes no intensity rating for Wave sticks.
Berries: Purple Wave. Ripe fruit with a floral touch: Summer Wave. Citrus and herbs: Zing Wave.

TEREA Purple Wave

A tobacco blend with crisp menthol cooling and dark forest-fruit aroma nuances. In the UK the same flavour is sold as TEREA Mauve, or Mauve Wave. IQOS Egypt and South Africa call the cooling deep rather than crisp, and the UAE description names blueberry.

Fresh and ripe fruit tobacco experience

Pearl TEREA: capsule flavours
Pearl sticks contain a flavour capsule. Each stick starts as a tobacco blend; click the capsule and a cooling flavour is added on top, so you choose when the taste changes. We found no IQOS intensity rating for Pearl sticks.
Twilight and Provence share the fullest, malty base. Tidal is the only Pearl we stock whose capsule adds mint rather than fruit.

Of the flavours IQOS rates, TEREA Russet is highest at 9 out of 10. Next come Bronze (8, as rated by IQOS Greece), then Sienna and Teak (both 7).
Which TEREA has the strongest menthol?
TEREA Blue has deep menthol cooling with peppermint, and IQOS Poland calls it the most intense of the classic menthol trio. Green has balanced cooling and Turquoise crisp cooling with zesty notes. For a capsule stick that turns minty, try Tidal Pearl.
Is TEREA Mauve Wave the same as Purple Wave?
Yes, it is the same flavour. Order it as TEREA Purple Wave.
What does “Pearl” mean on TEREA?
Pearl sticks contain a flavour capsule. Click it, and a cooling flavour such as blueberry, grape or mint is added to the tobacco taste.
Do TEREA sticks work with older IQOS devices?
No. TEREA is made only for the bladeless IQOS ILUMA family. In blade-heated IQOS (ORIGINALS DUO and earlier) it may damage the blade.
How long does one TEREA stick last?
IQOS states a session of 14 puffs or up to 6 minutes, whichever comes first. On ILUMA i devices, the FlexPuff feature adapts to your puffing rhythm, so you may get 4 extra puffs, still within up to 6 minutes. See our measurements of how long one stick lasts.
