Which Sticks Fit My Device? Heated Tobacco Compatibility Explained
Every heated tobacco system takes its own sticks. Manufacturers design each stick for one system only, even when sticks from two systems look alike, and some sticks can damage a device they are not made for. Find your device below to see which sticks it takes, which ones it does not, and why.

Why sticks from one system do not fit another
Each system heats its sticks in its own way, and the sticks are built for that method. The manufacturers explain the differences like this:
- IQOS ILUMA has no blade. A metal element sealed inside each SMARTCORE stick is heated by induction, and the device only starts when it detects a compatible stick.
- Older IQOS devices heat the stick from the inside with a blade. ILUMA sticks have a fully sealed tobacco part, so they must not go into a blade device: IQOS warns they can damage it.
- lil SOLID heats the stick from the inside with a steel pin.
- BONDS by IQOS heats the stick from the outside, with no blade and no pin. Stick and device are designed as one system.
- glo Hyper and glo Hilo use sticks of different size and technology: Hilo sticks are shorter and thicker than the Demi Slim sticks made for Hyper.
- Ploom sticks are made for the Ploom HeatFlow heating system and are not meant for other heaters.
Rule of thumb: check which devices are named on the product page or in the manufacturer's information. If your device is not named, the stick is not made for it, even if it seems to fit.
Which sticks fit IQOS ILUMA and ILUMA i?
All six ILUMA models take the same SMARTCORE sticks: IQOS ILUMA, ILUMA PRIME and ILUMA ONE, and the newer ILUMA i, ILUMA i PRIME and ILUMA i ONE.

- HEETS: they are not SMARTCORE sticks, and ILUMA will simply not start with them.
- BLENDS, BEYOND, FIIT, NEO, VEO, Kent, RIVO, VIRTO, EVO, LYO: made for other systems.
LEVIA and DELIA are SMARTCORE sticks like TEREA, so all three work in any ILUMA or ILUMA i device. For details of each TEREA variant, see our TEREA guide.

Which sticks fit BONDS by IQOS?
BONDS by IQOS heats the stick from the outside and takes only the sticks made for it.
Do not use
- TEREA and HEETS: IQOS sticks for other devices.
- FIIT, NEO, VEO, RIVO, VIRTO, EVO, LYO: made for other systems.
BLENDS and BEYOND are made only for BONDS: IQOS says they are not for IQOS ILUMA, older IQOS or lil. BONDS heats from the outside, lil SOLID from the inside with a pin.
Devices: BONDS by IQOS.
Which sticks fit lil SOLID?
lil SOLID 2.0 and lil SOLID Ez heat the stick from the inside with a steel pin and are made for one stick range.
Sticks that fit
- FIIT: tobacco sticks made for lil SOLID.
Do not use
- TEREA: it does not fit lil SOLID.
- BEYOND, BLENDS and sticks from other systems.
FIIT has the same dimensions as HEETS, but the heating systems differ. IQOS recommends FIIT for lil SOLID and HEETS for blade IQOS, not the other way round.
Devices: lil SOLID Ez.
Which sticks fit glo Hyper?
All glo Hyper devices, including Hyper+, Hyper X2, Hyper X2 Air and Hyper Pro, use Demi Slim sticks.

Do not use
- RIVO and VIRTO: made for glo Hilo, with a different size and technology.
glo devices released before the Hyper range used slimmer sticks. BAT moved to the larger Demi Slim stick with glo Hyper, so NEO, VEO and Kent Demi Slim sticks are made for Hyper devices. If you have an older glo, check its manual for the stick format it takes. glo Hilo and Hilo Plus take their own sticks (see the next section).

Which sticks fit glo Hilo and Hilo Plus?
glo Hilo and glo Hilo Plus take only the sticks made for them, which are shorter and thicker than glo Hyper sticks.
Do not use
- NEO and VEO: made for glo Hyper.
- Any other sticks.
Moving from glo Hyper to glo Hilo means changing sticks: NEO and VEO stay with Hyper, Hilo uses VIRTO and RIVO.
Devices: glo Hilo, glo Hilo Plus.
Which sticks fit Ploom AURA and Ploom X?
Ploom devices use the HeatFlow heating system and take Ploom sticks only.

- Sticks from IQOS, BONDS, lil or glo.
- EVO and LYO are not made for other heaters either.
In Ploom AURA you can switch between EVO and LYO. Ploom says the nicotine level of LYO is comparable to EVO.

Which sticks fit older IQOS devices?
IQOS 2.4 Plus, IQOS 3, IQOS 3 DUO, IQOS 3 MULTI and IQOS ORIGINALS ONE and DUO heat the stick with a blade. They take HEETS, which we do not stock.

Do not use
- TEREA: may damage the blade.
- LEVIA and DELIA: IQOS warns they will cause damage to the device.
- BLENDS and sticks from other systems.
TEREA, LEVIA and DELIA work only in the IQOS ILUMA range (see section 01).
Stick compatibility: frequently asked questions
Can I use TEREA in IQOS 3 DUO?
No. TEREA is made only for the IQOS ILUMA range, including ILUMA i. In IQOS 3 DUO, ORIGINALS and other blade devices it may damage the blade.
Do HEETS work in IQOS ILUMA?
No. IQOS says ILUMA is not compatible with HEETS and will simply not start: it is designed to start only when it detects a compatible SMARTCORE stick (TEREA, LEVIA or DELIA). HEETS are made for blade IQOS devices.
Which sticks work with IQOS ILUMA i?
The same as other ILUMA devices: TEREA, LEVIA and DELIA.
Can I use NEO or VEO sticks in glo Hilo?
No. glo Hilo and Hilo Plus take only VIRTO and RIVO. NEO and VEO are for glo Hyper.
Which sticks fit glo Hyper Pro?
NEO, VEO and Kent in the Demi Slim format: the sticks made for all glo Hyper devices.
Do EVO sticks fit Ploom X?
Yes. EVO works in Ploom AURA, Ploom X and Ploom X Advanced.
Can I use FIIT sticks in IQOS?
FIIT is made for lil SOLID. It will not work in IQOS ILUMA, which takes only TEREA, LEVIA and DELIA. FIIT has the same dimensions as HEETS, so IQOS says using it in a blade IQOS is technically possible, but it recommends HEETS for blade IQOS and FIIT for lil SOLID because the heating systems differ.
Which sticks fit BONDS by IQOS?
BLENDS and BEYOND. TEREA and HEETS do not fit BONDS.
Are tobacco-free sticks nicotine-free?
No. LEVIA, BEYOND, LYO, VEO and RIVO contain no tobacco, but they do contain nicotine, which is addictive.
